Nasir joined the Centaurs this season after many seasons with the now defunct Police CC. After only 11 games this season, he has already established himself as the best addition to the Taurs in the last decade and as one of the all-time Centaurs greats. As a former Hong Kong national player, Nasir has had a stellar international career which includes an ODI cap against Pakistan in the 2004 Asia Cup. Nasir has been the ultimate all-rounder for the Taurs this season, opening the batting, bowling and then wicketkeeping in the 2nd half after bowling 8 overs on the trot. With the bat, Nasir is a stylish technically correct batsman who is especially strong on his legs and with the ball, he can hoop the ball both ways on a nagging length asking questions to the batsman every ball. As a wicketkeeper, he is the second Hong Kong international to play for the Taurs in 3 years after Jamie Atkinson. With the ball this season, Nasir has taken 11 wickets so far at 34 but more importantly an economy rate of 4.5. Against the KCC Saracens, Nasir bowled 7 overs for just 6 runs against KCC coach Peter Wooden who to date scored 7 centuries and 11 half centuries this season. In 11 games this season so far, Nasir has scored 526 runs at an average of 52.6 with 3 centuries in 3 different grounds including 117 vs HKCC Witherers at HKCC, 106 vs Millennium at PKVR and a record breaking 212* vs Kai Tak at HKU.
